We are looking at real estate in Cannery Village, Milton, DE. We are moving from out of town and would appreciate any feedback on that general area. Family friendly, neighborhood ambience, proximity to parks, etc. Thank you!

Passing from the road it kind of looks like city living with the house right on top of each other. You may want to brush up on local politics. I read a lot about squabbles in their police dept and town council. They are part of the Cape Henlopen School District. There is a new middle school which might be within walking distance of Cannery Village. Again local squabble they seem to have a problem determining boundaries for the two elementary schools. I don't know about local parks but I'm sure you know of Cape Henlopen State Park which is easy driving distance. While Milton is off the main highway Rt 5 runs through Milton and is used as a short cut by many heading to off beach properties such as Oak Orchard and Long Neck. There is also a major east/west route (16?) passing on the other side of town from Cannery Village.
