My point exactly. There is no reason to switch just because you relocate.

EZ Pass is running a promotion for the month of December. Open an account and get the transponder free, whatever state you live in.

Edited after EZ Pass application..............Unfortunately only the first transponder on a new account is free (you can get up to 8 on one account). Not sure if we could have gotten 2 different accounts to avoid it, but it took me so long to get the first one that we just paid for the second. Still a lot cheaper than a second one in PA ($38 to add a second one). And yes, they are shipping it to me in 5-7 business days.

There can be -- some states give discounts on certain toll plazas or bridges. We switched our Maryland to Delaware because Maryland charges a maintenance fee and Delaware gives a discount on Route 1 (if you make enough trips in a 30-day period).
