Went to the store at 6am this morning and left there at 7:30am. I took my time as I was in no hurry to go back out in that brutally cold weather we're having today. Below zero wind chill, steady 20+mph winds and VERY BAD slick icy roads will keep me home the rest of the day. If you don't need to go out, then don't is my 2 cents.

I agree, Pete. Stay in.
We're in town, on a state maintained road. All night long, I heard the snow plows coming through. No problem getting out here, but who wants to?

Good Sunday morning for a grand-slam breakfast. Bacon is in the pan, eggs are ready to go in, hot cakes are rising on the back burner, blueberries are washed and ready, and the second pot of coffee is perking along.

I am sure people from colder climates will laugh at this but : There are several Church closings running along the bottom of the TV screen.

I'm sick of the cold weather....as an avid runner, it really puts a damper on things!

I'm cooking a big breakfast this morning-- not much else planned other than putting away the V-Day decor and breaking out the St. Patty's Day stuff.

This week may be the coldest yet this winter with a predicted high of 30, so if Frontier Airlines out of New Castle runs another special for 19.00 dollars to Miami like they did 2 weeks ago, I'll post it on here cause I'm going no matter what. This weather is horrible.

Too bad I just logged on I would have asked if I could stop in for breakfast. YUMMMMMMM

Not next to our house! They arrived in full force, slamming car doors at 7:30 A.M., laughing, socializing, taking up all the parking places in front of our house, and.....never mind.

Have a Blessed Sunday.

Usually I try to comfort my Delaware friends by letting them know how much better it is there vs. here in Chicagoland.

Alas, I cannot provide that service today. Weather.com says the current wind chill in Lewes is 2 degrees, whereas here in the windy city we have a balmy 8 degrees.

More interestingly, we have no snow forecast for this week, whereas the Lewes forecast is for 8-12" tomorrow night. Wow!

So the best I can do is relate that Wednesday night forecast for Lewes is 9 above, where we are getting hit with -8. Aw what the heck, let's face it, cold is cold!

Colder than hell here in Central Maine right now. We are getting the northerly winds from that blizzard that just past us and they are gusting to 50 mph at times. Temp outside on my thermometer is about 10 degrees and with the chill it puts it well below zero. And the sun is still up. Wait until it goes down, it will get colder. I hate it when you are outside on days like this and come indoors somewhere and someone, to make small talk says "Is it cold enough for you"? "No, #@$%# I could take another 10 or 20 degree drop, what do you think"!!!
