The only South Asian community that I'm familiar with is in Greenville, at the Greenville Place Apartments about 5 miles outside the city. Since your husband will be working at Chase, he should be able to ask around there though, as Chase (and all of the major banks located here) have a lot of South Asians. I've also added some links that might be useful to you.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Dear friends,

I'm from New Jersey moving to Wilmington DE, looking for a good apartment with the Indian community for family living. Please suggest me, 300 Bellevue Pkwy, Wilmington, DE 19809 is my office location, near to this office would be appreciated.

Pike Creek has a large south Asian population. There is a Hindu temple in Hockessin (which is next to Pike Creek. Hockessin has more expensive housing. Pike Creek is where young families usually buy a house). Look at hindutemplede.org if this is for you. Both Pike Creek and Hockessin are suburban communities located 20 minutes west of Wilmington.

That is a nice part of the state. Your office is right next to a lovely state park. There are apartments near there, though I can't say which has an Indian community. Look more to the west of your office than to the east. Avoid places like Edgemoor Gardens. If it's very very cheap, there's probably a reason for it.

If you have high school aged kids, Brandywine is the better high school in that district, then Concord, then Mt. Pleasant. But even at Mt. Pleasant, if your kids are in the honors or AP classes, they'll be fine.
