Hi, as I am THOROUGHLY FED-UP with Verizon, I was wondering what cable/Internet providers you have in Kent & Sussex Counties - and what you think of them. Any info would be appreciated.
As always, THANKS XO

Comcast. I think they're horrendously overpriced for a lousy channel line-up and we have to pay a sports package fee for sports channels we don't want and never watch. Service is pretty reliable.

REALLY? how can they justify charging everyone for a sports package? Didn't that used to be a separate entity?

I also have Comcast - for internet a phone and cable I pay about $115/month. I only watch the news and a couple of shows a week. TV is on an hour or less a day. I also questioned the sports programming charge as I have zero interest in any sports and was told it was not optional - I think it is less than $5/month. I get a lot of channels, but just don't watch much. So for about $4/day I have everything.

I should have stuck with Comcast - never had an issue - but when I moved to lovely Brookhaven, PA - NOT! - they already had the Verizon set up. You can NOT talk to ANYONE but their office in the Phillipines - and I can never understand them! I watched a poor Verizon service guy (in the WA WA parking lot) actually have a LINE waiting to talk to him, me included, over basic questions, poor guy. Because NO ONE is available to talk to us for basic questions we have. Can you BELIEVE THIS???

I don't think I've ever talked to someone from the Philipines when it comes to Verizon. I always get an American person. Are you calling the 888-389-7299 Verizon # ?

I have Verizon and found that it's a reliable service and if you have a problem they are pretty much on top of it. Price wise I think they are ok. I think each cable company has channels and charges we don't think we should pay but that's what they do. I've gotten rid of my Verizon phone and have only internet and cable. For phone I use my cell plus Google Voice/Hangouts. I still have a regular phone # that can ring through my computer and if I want, I can have it ring to my cell phone. And Google sends me emails and voice transcription of any missed call/voicemail. I found that I saved $25/mo by getting rid if the phone.

When we moved here the kind people on CD mentioned Mediacom ad Comcast. However, only Comcast serves this area. Comcast service itself is very good, but their customer service is abysmal. If we have a problem in this community people call the executive help line and bypass the 800 number.

The last time I saw the Comcast guy setting up a new customer, he was speaking on the phone in Russian and his vehicle had Florida tags.
The name on the vehicle was a for a sub-contractor, not Comcast.

I have Comcast in this NJ home and can't wait to have another option. We are building near Millsboro and I am certain that Comcast will be my LAST choice. I have horror story after horror story when dealing with them. I won't let them change anything because EVERY time I had in the past it takes me days, weeks and even 1 time a full month for them to correct their mistakes.

Verizon used to be horrible with billing mistakes years ago. When I renewed with them, they would not get the billing correct so I ended calling 10 times for them to fix it. They used to have an Elite team or special team but they did away with that. The billing now is more accurate and from my experience in the Lewes area the Verizon team was on top of it. My suggestion would be to get everything from them in email, that way you have a paper trail and can refer to it. When a sales rep gave me a price I got it in email. Then he left and Verizon didn't believe what he gave me so I sent them his email and they honored it.
