Hello Everyone,
My wife and I are visiting Nobles Pond in August. We are in the very early stages of planning our retirement location. We are going on there discovery weekend tour. I am quite sure this topic has been discussed in the past. This really is going to be a research visit only. We are both turned off by a Hard Sell and wanted to make this clear to them before our visit. Can anyone share any information on what to expect from them when we visit? I really appreciate any advice or feedback. Thank you

From the Dover Post:

"The Delaware Department of Justice has filed suit against the developer of The Villages of Noble’s Pond, an 879-lot “55-plus” community in Dover, for numerous violations of the Consumer Fraud Act, the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and other Delaware laws protecting consumers against unlawful and predatory behavior."

(I created this city data account today to reply to your question! :-)

Thank you for this post and responses. I was very intrigued about this community based on the enticing pictures and all the superlatives in the advertisements and website (the standard carnival barker stuff).

The Court of Chancery complaint in its entirety that the Dover Post article provided a link to was quite a read.

So how is this affecting life at NP? We were planning on visiting the community next week along with several others?

Since deficiencies are now known it is important to hear how the company plans to go forward. They might have good solutions and may not have done anything illegal. If i had been planning a visit i would still go.
