Did I mention anything about old time Rehoboth?

Just go 2 miles west and it's a whole different country!

It takes time to defeat racism, but for it to happen, people need to act instead of leaving.
I'm of Asian descendent and when my parents first opened their store in african-american neighborhood, they were quite ignorant and called their customers names and such. They were also called many names, etc by the customers in turn. But overtime, they got to know their customers and slowly formed friendship to a point where it forced my dad to re-think his belief system. From that point on, my dad made strong effort to learn english and be able to communicate better with people in his community and to be better integrated. He hired local kids and whenever possible, made effort to help out where he could. People in the community, too accepted him and stopped viewing him as an outsider who came in to make money off them. After 25 years, when my parents closed their shop, they knew many customers by name and were friendly enough to know customer's extended family, etc and they looked after my parents and they looked out after their customers.
When it comes down to it, you end racism by being next to those who are of different color rather then running away to community where everyone looks like you

I challenge you to find a place in this world were there isn't discrimation including racism.

Of course, you can take the genocide method and just kill everyone with whom you disagree or do not like, but that just pisses off more people.

There is always going to be a resistence to a culteral intrusion and someone is always going to resent it. There are people who are always going to want to take shortcuts to a conclusion and people will resent it.

I lived in the panhandle of FL in the mid-70's. I had been discharged the previous fall from the USN, but my girl was still in and transferred from Philly to NAS Whiting. I was a young, white veteran and she was a Mohawk with dual Canadian/US citizenship.

The klan was alive and well and a mixed couple was not welcomed. I was told where I could eat, where I could shop and just about where I needed to go........HOME and they didn't mean my house! We even had issues in some parts of Pensacola. I constantly ran into problems every time I opened my mouth and did not meet their linquistical standards.

I rode a small Harley and was intentionally driven off the road no less than once every other week. Luckily I made a point of always being aware of my surroudings and never actually had to drop the bike, but often had to escape driving into a wooded area or across someone front yard.

It took me three months to find a place which would cut my hair and even then it was a couple from New Hampshire. The women learned to cut her husband's hair because he did not speak with the right accent.

There is discrimination everywhere and it isn't just base upon race. There have been some terrible atrocities committed over the decades in this country and there is absolutely no excuse for them. But please do not stand there, black, white, red, yellow, latino, hispanic, whatever and tell me how perfect you are and it is everyone else who is a racist. And please do not cry, "reverse discrimination". There is no such thing as "reverse discrimination" is no discrimination.
