I believe I had bitten the inside of my cheek on my left side while eating sometime this week and tonight noticed a red purplish dot on the inside of my left cheek here's a photo of it.

Is it something serious?

No. It's a small blood blister. It'll go away.

you bit your cheek, caused capillaries to burst within the tissue but the skin didn't break. Blood pooled and caused the blister.

I had one of those in the exact same spot. I could feel the skin "raised" in that spot when my tongue rubbed over it. It took a while for the area to heal.

It took So long...now it seems I started biting the spot on purpose to "stimulate it" to disappear, then adding a little hydrogen peroxide to it to prevent infection. It's gone now

I accidentally found one today on the inside cheek of mouth and started freaking out that it maybe an oral cancer, but I guess it's a blood blister after all. In your picture, I've noticed the red spots on the tongue which kind of confirms that your tongue and cheek went through some kind of truama-grinding teeth in sleep is my bad habit.

Thank you all so much for your replies. This helped me out with my husband as well. He thought it was some type of oral cancer and freaked out as well.

What would cause you to have bump all over your body that looks like little ringworms?
