Now days dentist in the US actually do their own caps;bridges etc and it results in a much better fit. In fact the tempoary they make is just like the final except for the material. Hate the old lab from impression that often were not near as good. Nothing like modern technology really and having a dentist near if you have a problem later.

Let me briefly explain my experience with RC. I gotta say this is not my worst moments of my life. I began having a severe tooth pain, and I was (and am) still having wisdoms so I thought it was time, I was having pains for 3 days or so and each day the pain became more localized. I realized it was not the time for my wisdoms. So I went to dentist and turned out that I have to have a root canal done right away so I was referred to an endo. That was on a Christmas Eve 2008.

I was a bit scared at first, but my endo-specialist has told me it will be a rather painless procedure. Him being a endo-specialist, I have nothing but to trust him, I suppose. All of my fear went away immediately. 45 minutes later, it's all over. No pain. Except I got numb on one side but they gave me some ibuprofen (800mg) for some pain but I didn't feel any annoying pain just sore from the drilling and stuff and I was able to eat normally, but carefully, for the first time in 3, 4 days. Just in time for X-Mas Eve feast.

Went back to the dentist later to have my crown inserted. I've been painless since that day.
