Most white people consider English-speaking Asian people as one of our own. Being Asian-American is worlds away from being Latino or black in terms of segregation around Denver. Tell your friend not to worry.

Hi all, sorry to bump an almost year old thread but thought it better to ask here than create a whole new thread. I may be moving to Denver soon (very excited btw) and am wondering where exactly is there a higher concentration of Vietnamese residents. I am talking about where they live, not where the restaurants are. From searching and reading i understand that there are no neighborhoods dominated by Vietnamese but where do they tend to live? Also, are these areas safe?

Wiki states that the majority of the Viet population reside in an area bordered by Almeda, Havana, Hampden, and Chambers. Is this correct? TIA for any help.

This is the top 3 for the entire state:

1. Denver census tract 156, an area of SW Denver, SE of Jewell/Federal, 436, 6.7%

2. Denver census tract 157, an area of SW Denver (Harvey Park South, SW of Federal/Yale, 278, 5.0%

3. Denver census tract 45.06, an area of SW Denver, NW of Federal & Mississippi, 260, 7.5%

So, uh, SW Denver. Safe is in the eye of the beholder, but I'd say #2 is the safest one (followed by #1, then #3).
