This thread is old...but I ended up calling comcast and telling them I wanted to drop the cable, and of course they "found a way" to give me the intro rate. It would have been almost 70 for just internet (which is completely absurd) and it was just under 80 for that and cable. My 6 months is just about up so I'll call them again when they raise my bill out of the intro rate. I use the internet all of the time and if I don't have cable I'd be using it for tv too, so getting slow century link simply wouldn't work. My friend has it and she can't watch hulu or anything like that b/c it's simply not fast enough and just sits there and constantly buffers. I wonder why there isn't another company out here. In my hometown internet alone runs 30-40 bucks a month.

I pay $50 per month for what Comcast calls "Performance Starter". It's supposed to be 6M down/1M up, but I usually speed test out at 20-30M down, 3-5M up depending on server.
