Thanks for being offering your help!

Please add:
Centennial
Greenwood Village
(Any others you think would be options)

Please remove:
Commerce City
Federal Heights
Idaho Springs
Lone Tree
(Any others that you feel should be ruled out)

It seems you have some first hand experience with the area and as such I would trust your opinions of glaring defects in my poll options.

Thanks again for taking the time to provide assistance.

Thanks for your input and for explaining your reasoning. This helps a lot!

Great information regarding the schools. Especially with the forward thinking viewpoint!

There are even parts of Englewood that might suit your needs. If planning on having kids soon then I'd recommend anywhere within Littleton or Cherry Creek school districts.
Very helpful reply. I have requested Centennial be added to the list as it has come up from numerous responders. Thanks also for the school district recommendations!

On a side note, I was in Minneapolis on Monday in the Linden Hills neighborhood. Cool spot (although the heat and humidity were unbearable!). The neighborhood reminded me of Wash Park in Denver except siding homes instead of brick.
Woohoo Minneapolis! Linden Hills area is nice. And yes, the typical July weather has finally arrived. I'm eager to see what July is like in Colorado. Seems like it will be, typically, more reasonable temperatures and definitely less humid.

But we just moved here ourselves (to Centennial; work is in Tech Center—I can ride my bike to work!), so these are based on our research (online and on the ground) over the past several months.
Great advice. My fiancé loves that we currently live on a trail that lead directly to her work for her to bike to. We also have some friends who may make the move to CO as well and they would definitely end up near DTC.

Although we've barely spent a month here, I am very impressed by how bike-friendly Denver is (especially compared to San Diego, where we came from) in terms of number of bike paths that criss-cross all over the place. I know that's true of Minneapolis as well, so you'll feel at home in that regard.
