It's always interesting to see how corporate these types of events are. My favorite example is Oktoberfest. Denver has dozens of breweries in the city limits and probably close to triple digits in the metro. Yet at Oktoberfest they only serve Sam Adams and Coors. It would be much more enjoyable if breweries from all over the state were allowed to bring a German/Oktoberfest/Pumpkin beer.

Over the last 20 years it seems that the taste of Colorado has become nothing more than a money grab, it used to have plenty of local restaurants and booths for local companies where you could sample food from many different places you had never heard of. Now it is nothing more than large corporations and overpriced food I stopped going a couple of years ago, and unless something changes than I doubt I will be back.

I went 3 years ago and while the food was fine, it was just too hot and crowded.

So this year, we took the kids to Elitch's... where it was too hot and crowded

Come to the one in Longmont this weekend! 9 local breweries.
