Get a buttered pretzel at Bierstadt Lagerhaus
Get an ice cream at Little Man Ice Cream
Drive out to the Buck Snort.
Do a lap around Wash - Washington - Park.
Stroll old Gaylord.
Drive up to Evergreen through Bear Creek and have lunch at Creekside. Then hike around Evergreen Lake.

San Diego zoo is better, and the used-to-be-zoo-affiliated wild animal park near Escondido is even better. Though I heard that the latter has turned into almost an amusement park ride with all the nonwalking tours/train rides.
