It won't be as bad as everybody (all the GOPs) think it will be.

But I could be wrong.

Traffic seemed heavier than usual today, but I haven't actually been downtown. I drank a cup of coffee at the 17th and Downing Dazbog. I'm working at the office on Monday (downtown) and then working from home for the rest of the week. It's not that I'm afraid of trouble, but I'd rather not deal with the extra hassle or crowds, and since my employer gives me the option to work from home, I'm taking it.

All in all, I don't expect the convention to be out of control or horrible, but I also don't want to be inconvenienced by it.

I'm thinking my bus will be late. And so I'm taking the early bus home. I'm thinking that there won't be anything catestrophis, but there will most definitely be interruptions. And probably just a little bit of mayhem. I work downtown, right on 17th and my building is hosting tons of DNC meetings along with the delegates. But it's just for 5 days so I'm hoping for the best.

I was downtown yesterday, last night and today. Auraria PKWY was closed over night and will remain closed for the week. Today I tried to get off I-25 in several areas leading into downtown and could not because of the traffic. Coming from the west and north, it was jammed, but was able to get in on 20th and went right next to Coors field. There was a game going on and parking was impossible to find.

The 16th Mall is beautiful with tons of flowers and all the trees have their Christmas lights back up. Several building are covered in flags and red, white and blue swooping banners. Everyone is saying hello and smiling, especailly if you are wearing any democratic or Obama items. The vibe is incredible! There are tons of SWAT teams at all of the hotels and streets are well protected from whatever. A small demostration was about to start up at the Capitol but was stopped immediately. The atmosphere and energy is unlike any I have felt in my whole life downtown. Only say one homeless person as many salons offered to cut their hair and the movie theaters offered them free tickets, plus some restaurants offered meals to prevent begging. It was so refreshing to know that these business owners went out of their way to help make the city presentable for the out of towners. I will be working throughout the week at one of the hotels and there are more media members here then delegates. Booklyns has removed it's sign and the building has CNN in temporary white paint on it. MSNBC set up a huge telecast station behind Union station.

If you can walk down or take a light rail in during the week, the energy is worth the trip!

This is one time I'm glad I don't work downtown.

CNN is broadcasting from the Newman Center at DU, according to my DD who lives in that area.

The energy is so great downtown right now. So many people out and about enjoying the weather and the city....if you can get down there, do so! It is great

I work in Aurora and live downtown and am very glad to be here. I am using vacation time to work at one of the hotels to be part of all the excitment.

CNN's main site is at Brooklyn's as it is as close as possible to the Pepsi Center - see pics. They are doing like the other channels and filiming all over the city. Fox is in the building that is two over and even Kacy's furniture has been rented out for the week and is closed to the public. ABC has hundreds of employees here alone for all their shows, lucky me gets to meet those from Good Morning America!

CNN Broadcasting Center at one of two entry points to the Pepsi Center. The entry points have bomb sniffing dogs and incredibly heavy security, thank God!

I'll be heading up to DIA on Thursday morning from Colorado Springs(i-25 to 470), will I be likely to hit heavy traffic due to the DNC?
