I plan on moving next month from my native Minnesota...Colorado winters are going to be a huge improvement for me and is one of the main things I look forward to. Living my entire life in Minnesota I tend to hibernate during the winter months..meaning my summer activities and winter activities are very different. You adjust you life to the seasons, and I love living where the seasons change, but I will happily leave the -20's and gray skies of January for sunny and +0 !!!

You will love it. Winters aren't that bad, yes it gets to -20 at least once a year but in general it has more sun than you'd expect. The sun tends to quickly melt snow, even with our May snow.

Be prepared though, winters are Fall and Spring, with a good break in between.
