My fiance and I are going to be graduating from Colorado State University soon and I am starting my job in Downtown Denver in July.

I am starting to look at places and areas to live and honestly I have no idea which areas are nice and would have what we are looking for. We are both originally from Austin Texas and have only been down to Denver twice.

Here is a little bit of information about our situation:

We are both young and love to go to restaurants and live in an area where there is good shopping, other young people and plenty of things to do. If all of this is in walking distance that would be amazing.

We have a large dog and would love to have a backyard for him to go to the bathroom in (we would take him out to the parks for more intense exercise and play) and a place that is dog friendly would be great!

My job is in the heart of the downtown business district and having an easy commute would be great. It would be fantastic if I could use the buses or rail.

Our current price range anywhere from 750-1300

Any advice would be appreciated I am feeling really lost. I have looked at other posts and the closest one I could find to our situation didn't have as high of a budget as we do so I am hoping for some additional suggestions. Thanks for the help!

I would suggest driving down to Dener and looking around. You will probably find a neighborhood that will catch your eye. You might try looking at a map before you go, and scoping out areas near your job. There is tons of information on this forum about Denver neighborhoods. Try a search using "neighborhoods" as the key word.
