In the spirit of previous threads on favorite and least favorite streets, I wanted to start one on favorite/least favorite intersections. Some people had mentioned intersections in the previous posts, but feel free to post it again here!

Least favorite - US 36/Wadsworth - one awful mess

Favorite - my new favorite is University & Arapahoe. They just redid this one and expanded it greatly. 2 left turn lanes, 1 right turn lane and 2/3 straight lanes in each direction. Wow! It's now as big as Wadsworth/Alameda but without as much traffic. The Arapahoe Rd. photo tour needs to be updated

I love University and Evans. Has nothing to do with the actual traffic or street but I love the DU area and all the shops and stuff at that intersection. Plus, family friends own a great restaurant over there called the Sticky Star (maybe I'm a little biased lol)...yum. Can't go wrong with Mustard's Last Stand either.

Funny, that intersection would have been tied for me along with 44th & Wads for worst intersection. I haven't been on University/Arapahoe since the construction was complete but it was a mess the last few months.

44th & Wads is ok most of the time but at certain times of the day and on weekends that whole stretch from 38th to past I-70 is a huge headache. I think it mostly has to do with the Home Depot/Costco being right there north of the interstate.

I think they completed laying down the concrete last weekend, so it's only been open for less than a week. They will have minor closures to put the blacktop on coming up, right now it's just concrete. I agree that during construction it was the worst. You never knew what to expect. The work crews would stop traffic to move machinery through and cars would be blocked in. I saw people driving down the wrong lane, and we did too a couple of times because it was very badly marked. University and Arapahoe have been nightmares recently with all of the construction. University & County Line was completely redone too and is just getting done. Arapahoe between Colorado & Holly is being completely redone too. It is awful while it's being done, but once it's done (University & Arapahoe, University & County Line and Arapahoe W. of University), they've put some major dollars into it.
