My husband and I will be relocating in a year to the Denver area because we love the mountains. We lived there for a year in Stapleton while he did some training and wished we had found somewhere where there were views of the mountains. Work will be in Greenwood Village. We have three young children and are trying to find a home in the $500k to $700k range. I would really like at least a quarter acre yard or something close to that. Can anyone recommend some scenic areas that aren't too far from Greenwood Village? I was thinking maybe Highlands Ranch or Littleton area since it seems we can get a little more for our money and it looks like there might be some pretty scenic areas, but it's so hard to tell from the pictures you can find online where those neighborhoods may be. Thanks so much!

There are various neighborhoods in HR and Parker where you can find good scenic views since the area has plenty of undulating hills. Specifically, I only know a little bit. The western edge of the Pinery neighborhood in Parker has some pretty good views, and part of the neighboring Pradera development which is new and may be above your price range somewhat. You'll probably be better off checking with a realtor that knows the area. Some of the listings will indicate if there are good views, since it's a nice selling point.

Views are usually lot specific. Your Realtor can help you search for homes with views.

I found 60 on more than .2 acres, 4 beds, study, 3 car garage, basement, mountain views from Foxfield to Parker, Highlands Ranch to Lone Tree, Centennial to Castle Pines.

There are actually some great places with views just outside of my neighborhood in Indian Creek. It's too pricey for me but I wish I could afford the area. It has a rural feel to it even though you're in the middle of the city and not far from downtown, DTC, etc. I'm not sure if the area has a specific name (it's unincorporated Arapahoe County) but I'm thinking of the area north of Iliff Ave, South of Florida Ave, West of Parker Rd, and East of Quebec Way/Yosemite.

I tried to outline the area on Google Maps.

Most any place in the metro area will have mountain views, if not from the house, at least from the yard.

I can actually see Pike's Peak from my bedroom window when the leaves are off the trees. That is roughly 90 miles. Downstairs, from the living room window in the same spot, one cannot see the mountains to the south. The mts to the west are visible whenever one goes outside.

No, but there are some rentals in my neighborhood. The house and the master bedroom face south.

Littleton encompasses everything from the foothills all the way up into the mountains. You can definitely pick and choose what you want.

We live in Stapleton and have mountain views from the dining area, the master bath, and the roof! It all just depends on where your house is located.
