I find the stores in affluent areas have the best stuff. So try Cherry Creek, Greenwood Village to start.

I have found some nice things at the store on on the west side of Colorado Blvd just north of Hampden.

The Junior League of Denver runs a 2nd hand shop called "The Second Time Store" - most of the clothing in it is good quality, name brand and designer stuff. Plus, the proceeds made at the store are put back into the community through funding of League special projects.

Here's the information from the store (pulled off the JLD website)

Address and Contact Info:
5042 East Hampden Avenue
Denver, CO 80222
303.789.4055
STSStaff@jld.org

Store Hours:

Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sundays (closed)
Donation Hours:

Monday - Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
* Please pull around to the back door and ring the bell.
The Second Time Shop (STS) is an upscale, resale boutique providing customers with a superb selection of merchandise including fashionable new and gently-used men's, women's and children's apparel, accessories, and home decor.

The Second Time Shop's new location in Happy canyon has allowed for an upgrade in merchandise and an increased customer base. This fantastic change has resulted in a whole new image for the STS and positive feedback from the community.

Directions:

Take the Hampden exit off of I-25 and head west on Hampden Avenue. Proceed one half mile on Hampden Avenue. The Second Time Shop is in the Happy Canyon Shopping Center on the south side of Hampden.

The Goodwill stores on Leetsdale and Elm, Broadway and Archer and Broadway and County Line all have good selections. Goodwill Locations | Goodwill Denver

There are a couple of nice consignment shops on 6th Ave between Josephine and Broadway but they are kind of pricey "Twice as Haute" and "My Best Friend's Closet". The "Second Time" Shop on Hampden (just west of I-25) has some nice things as well and when there's a sale the prices can be really good.

This isn't quite a 2nd hand store, but I've found some great deals at Nordstrom Rack.

Hehehe!
I buy name-brand jeans there. Regularly $120 per pair, but the Rack has them for $40. I don't necessarily care about the name brand, but I'm tall and thin, and it's hard to find jeans that fit well.
