That I don't know. There are, what, 5 in the metro area? 6? I imagine they all use the same distributor, but I don't know that for sure.

I'm lost. Do you want to work for WalMart, a greenhouse, or a greenhouse that specifically supplies WalMart? If all you're after is a greenhouse it's easy. If it's a supplier of Walmart why not just call the ones in the DSM area and ask?

Check Des Moines, Ankeny, Altoona, West Des Moines, and maybe Indianola. Those are all in the area.

I know what the OP means. In many areas, Wal Mart HAS to use local greenhouses...for example, in Florida, they had specific nurseries that supplied them as well. Obviously a nursery from Kentucky couldn't supply what would grow in Miami and vice versa lol.

Maybe this isn't the same in Des Moines, as the climate across the Upper Midwest is similar throughout a large area, so they might have some anonymous, too big of a network of suppliers where they don't do the same branding on plants like in other areas. I too agree that some of the responses on here were kind of "off" and don't get what that's about.

Since no one seems to know first hand, I would call random stores and ask who their local supplier is and since most employees answering the phone won't know either, ask a nice employee in gardening to check some tags. People in the Midwest are usually quite helpful and if you call at an off time, I wouldn't be surprised if some employee gets you that information.

If you find out, let us know. I too have tried to google nurseries and they are hard to find online if you don't have a name in advance. They don't usually have a strong web presence, in contrast to most businesses nowadays.

Thank you. You knew exactly what I meant. But I found out that company's name is Dallas Johnson Greenhouses out of Council Bluffs, IA.
Thank you for all the help.
