There are a couple of really nice hotels in Dearborn, the Hyatt Regency comes to mind.

Have you ever tried the "Name Your Own Price" feature on Priceline? I don't work for Priceline or anything, but I have used this service in the past and gotten some outright steals. The only thing is, you aren't guaranteed a certain type of room, as in, if you definitely have to have two double beds instead of one king, you may not get it, they won't guarantee it. However, if you can be flexible about that, you can get a room in a four star hotel for less than half of the rack rate. If you put in "Dearborn" and "Four Star", you might find that you have a room at the Hyatt or Doubletree for less than $100/night. Oh, and you also can't cancel, because if you do it's nonrefundable. Like I said, though, if you want a nice room dirt cheap and are 99% sure you will be making the trip and don't absolutely have to have a certain number of beds, it's a great thing.

Oops, guess my post was a little bit late. Oh, well, I'm glad you got a great hotel and I hope you have a great time at the auto show. We always make it a point to go, it's so cool and it gets us out of the house in the dead of winter.

trying to find a hotel downtown during the Auto Show week is difficult. Most of the hotels are sold out. I'm glad the OP found a room in Dearborn. Have fun!
