Hello. Just got here. Need to buy a reading chair. I've also seen them called writing desk chairs and accent chairs. Basically, it is a high-back chair made out of solid wood that has some padding and is good for reading. $300-$400 is my price range. Where should I go?

Also, I need an office chair w/o arms. I think they're called task chairs. I don't want to go to an office store as the quality is bunk. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Art Van Furniture and Gardner White both deliver same day. Gorman's will have higher end. Pier One, Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn etc will have them as well.

Art Van also sponsors the loal Thanksgiving parade - which I appreciate and would thank them for.

I have found Art Van and Gorman's prices to be exorbitant. I have had good luck with Tenpenny Furniture. Quality furniture for reasonable prices.

Art Van's quality is variable. You have to know exactly what you are buying, and how to tell. The same with Gardener-White. Tenpenny...is that new to Novi? Is it like Value City Furniture? I'll have to check it out.

Please be very, very cautious about buying second- hand furniture! You will really need to know your seller well right now, and for years to come. Some items will have been bathing in poop-water in a previous life.

I want brand new furniture. Also, although price is an object, I am willing to pay a little more to get something that is done right. More suggestions?

Check out Art Van. They do have some good quality furniture. If you shop in the clearance section you need to be a lot more cautious.
