I was diagnosed with Type II back in 2006 when I damaged my pancreas due to gangrene. Sometimes my pancreas works, sometimes it shuts down entirely. As a result, I've had too keep a journal of everything I eat. I figrued if I was going to keep track of that, I'd keep track of other things like carbs, blood pressure, glucos levels, readings from my pedometer, etc. Then I would have one chart to look at and review as to exactly what I ate and what my levels were.
The problem I had is the VA gave me several typed and printed lists of what food had what carb. I got tired of looking up things as some were hard to find. So I consolidated all of them into an Excel Spreadsheet.
I've attached the spreadsheet so you can download and use. I had to Zip it. So download it and then double click on it and save the spreadsheet.
The list is not complete, by no means, but it covers a lot of territory.
