Has anyone heard of or experienced high glucose levels in blood after becoming addicted to nicotene gum. I have been chewing the gum for years at high doses. In the last year my glucose level has shot up from a consistent 99 to over 150. I try to eat a minimum of refined carbs and get daily exercise. I am surprised and alarmed by the high blood sugar levels. I have been battling weight gain for the last 20 years.
Although nicotine gum is made for smokers to quit smoking but a long term use of it does raise your blood sugar level. it is ok to use it for a short term period of time to help yourself quit smoking. but if you become addicted to it then it will be as much harmful for you as smoking, and will cost you the same same diseases as smoking does.
