It's amazing the misinformation about fruit. I can't believe people tell others to not eat fruit or even certain types.

people must have no idea the amount of sugar and type of sugar in fruit compared to so many other unhealthy options out there.

I've even heard people worry about the number of calories in an apple.

maybe if you're trying to lose 3lbs. and get from 5% BF to 4.5% such things matter but really, for the vast majority of people I don't get it.

I have read that blueberries or any of the berries are the best for you. Watermelon is definitely high in sugar.

I find it interesting that some of the foods that GOD (if you believe) made for you, are supposedly not good for you. I can understand man made foods not being good for you.

This list seems very accurate to me for the various fruits:
Low-Carb/Low-Sugar Fruits: A list of the best and the worst fruit for low-carb dieters.

and this one for the vegetables:
Low-Carb Vegetables: List of Vegetables to Eat When Cutting Carbs

I do eat fruits in moderation, because the sugars in the higher-carb fruits trigger my appetite and get me craving less healthy forms of sugar. I am very insulin resistant and very careful about trying to stick with low-glycemic fruits and vegetables.

Doesn't the fiber in fruits help to slow down sugar absorption? Like everyone else said berries are low in sugar. I love strawberries and blueberries.

Yes. Also eating them with a little cream or unsweetened whipped cream does that. That's my favorite low-carb dessert.
