I'm pretty short (5'3"). If I could snap my fingers & suddenly lose this amount of weight, I'd love to lose a good 75 pounds. For the first time ever, I plan to see a doctor next month to see what kind of weight loss plan I could do.
I could stand to lose about 70 lbs but at my age, if I did I would really sag, big time. Other than my weight it appears I am in pretty good health, so, I think if I dropped about 20 to 30 lbs I would be doing great. Now, if I would give up the wine and stop cooking with sauces, plus get off my ass I could do it. I know, as we age it is much harder and for those of you not in your 60s yet, you might not believe this, but is true. I do water walk 3 times a week which is helping build up my leg muscles but am not really losing much weight. I will have to face knee surgery next year, maybe then I will get my act together.
I would like to lose 2o lbs to get to my ideal weight. I have plateaued for some time. Frustrating!!! I find mixing things up help. I'm picking things up a level starting tomorrow. I have a December 31 deadline!!!
Get back down to 180 or 170, where I actually looked "healthfully" skinny.
There's different ways of going about it dieting wise and I'm willing to try those out again.
Along with an exercise routine that doesn't involve ending up looking like some over-ripped monstrosity(I like riding my bicycle and hated lifting weights).
If anything, old clothes feeling looser is a good feeling.
Not wearing the same size in order to compensate for inches of gained muscle.
I've already read and posted to various threads under the related sub-forums.
Evidently, exercise and counting calories along with ingredients seems to be the only way to get things done according to most people.
I guess that means devoting more time to prepping my own meals in order to keep track of ingredients, along with all the proper measuring doodads.
15-20. I'm in the normal BMI range and I would still be in the normal range.
I've lost about thirteen pounds since July. Moving ever-so-slowly since I'm not overweight. That's fine. Once I hit my first goal of losing twenty pounds, I'm going to try to get down another five.
