I found this interesting article today:

Excerpt - "After analyzing the effect eating speed had on calorie consumption, feelings of hunger and fullness before and after fast-paced and slow-paced eating and the amount of water consumed during meals, researchers determined that normal-weight people were able to reduce caloric intake from meals consumed at a fast pace to meals consumed at a slow pace by 88 kcal. The overweight or obese group of participants was only able to reduce its caloric intake from fast-paced meals to slow-paced meals by 58 kcal."

Chewing food --instead of gulping it down in chunks, helps those enzymes that help digestion that could possibly help gut terrain and BRAIN. Nutrients might just start telling your brain that you are no longer hungry and you eat less.

A healthy gut could also help with depression eating binges. Just make sure it is real food. Not in a package. Not thru a window. Less than six ingredients, too! Non gmo is a plus.

SO true, I enjoy a smaller amount of food a LOT more if I eat it slowly.

If I occasionally eat a small bag of M&M's and do so SLOWLY, it will seems like I am eating a LOT, really satisfies my craving.

I knew that, however lately I've been gulping my food. Got to stop that. Also laying the fork down after every bite helps.
