simple. lower bread intake. drink less alcohol. you don't have to get rid of it completely, but americans eat way too much bread and drink too much beer. consume more simple grains, exercise till you sweat and finally drink LOTS of water.

Believing in low carbs, no gluten, B6 shots or any other thing works only if it motivates someone to stick with the calorie deficient diet. Yeah, lots of people who post here need to take a basic physics class and learn about the laws of thermodynamics. It wouldn't hurt them to take a physiology class either.
I have found that a 4 ounce banana smoothie with three gluten-free dingleberries immediately after every meal will melt the pounds away and detox the body faster than a Monavie enema.

I never argued the point regarding cumulative "calories in/calories out." My point was that modern wheat is an appetite stimulant, so having it in sizable quantities generally increases total caloric consumption over the course of a day. I don't ever snack between meals because I'm never hungry during those periods. You can't say the same thing for many Americans as snacking between meals and "grazing" is a modern epidemic.

Carbohydrates in general are digested quicker than fats or proteins, so it makes sense that someone would feel hungry sooner if they ate, for example, a few slices of bread, versus if they ate one slice of bread with peanut butter (since fats digest slower).

My quality of life is far higher without any wheat consumption as I am gluten intolerant. Many people likely have varying degrees of gluten intolerance that are disguised as other various medical problems or conditions. Most doctors only treat the symptoms, not the core root of the problem. I found this out the hard way over a long period of time.

Yes, Granite, we understand that you are successful without wheat. Guess what I am successful with wheat! Some people are intolerant, but most are not.
You also have Celiacs so that effectively takes you out of eating wheat even if you wanted to.
