Bogus claim. While water helps the liver do its job, the liver does a fine job of getting waste out of your body in a daily basis. Juice cleansing is a misnomer. Soothing the intestines is also a bogus claim.
Sounds like you can use a cleaning
or do you naturally like to be argumentative? There is a juice for that too!
Juice cleanses, and any "cleanse" really are useless. They may provide a placebo effect on those doing it making them think (mistakenly) that something positive or great happens, but really those things are just full of baloney.
The human body is an amazingly fantastic machine. It is fully capable of eliminating all "toxins" that may be in the body. Doesnt need any new age or fad diet "cleanses" to do so. Proper nutrition and exercise is all that is needed.
You would have much better results and would even feel better by just going to a Vinyasa (NOT Hatha) yoga class. That is, unless you are one of those types who cant or are unable or even dread any type of strenuous exercise.
I have struggled with digestive issues my whole life - was actually in front of specialists as a little girl because I had a constant "stomach ache" These issues got worse and worse the last few years - especially after a year of chemotherapy (breast cancer).
92 days ago I started a vegan diet and I have never felt better in my life. I also take a probiotic each morning. I "eliminate" regularly now and my stomach rarely hurts anymore. I feel really in tune with my digestion and I've also lost 13lbs. And I'm not ever hungry - I eat lots of veggies, beans, grains, pulses, fruit - there's actually so much you can eat. Dairy was a bigger trigger for me rather than meat, but I decided to just cut it all out.
I honestly thought that I was just going to have to "live" with taking a laxative every 3-4 weeks for the rest of my life and was never going to shed this weight.
I would really recommend it to any others having digestive issues. A good documentary to watch is Forks Over Knifes on Netflix.

Good for you. I have embraced a plant based diet this new year and I have never felt better myself. I have tons of energy and I am now 'regular'! I was in the same boat as you. I also take a probiotic. I do not know if this is going to be a life change that I will stick to strictly but so far I do not miss meat or dairy, so for now its a great fit.
My workouts are awesome - more energy and I can push harder when I want or need to.
I will do the same... juices are too sweet for me..
I'll do something else, teas or veggie juices...maybe some
steamed vegetables with nothing added to them for a few days.
A bit more pure water with lemons and limes.
Thanks for the inspiration.
My facts stand on the medical merits. A kidney and or liver need the water hydration in order to perform . The human body is made up of 70% liquid .
And while I commend you for speaking up to clarify misinformation. Do so with proper data to confirm the findings.
And civility is usually non toxic
Why don't you post those medical merits about cleanses and detoxes. Drinking water is essential for health. No one is saying its not. The body does a fine job of cleaning itself. I am just saying that the term detoxing is overused and bogus. People getting off drugs are detoxing.

Vinyasa sounds awful to me. I get heat rash when it is over 82. I'd feel queasy in 5 minutes. Combine that the smell of stale sweat? Nope.
I need to stick with normal temperature rooms for exercise.
This one day juice diet will be good practice for my wisdom teeth removal!

I did mostly veggie juice and nut milk
