Still doesn't matter. Back to Thermo rule #1. Unless you can violate that law, I will 100% guarantee that you will lose weight.
If burned burned minus calories consumed is a positive number (two of your variables), then the amount stored will also decrease over time, as you start burning off your reserves. Calories wasted will just accelerate or slow your weight loss if you meet the burned-minus-consumed criteria. If you waste no calories, then it takes longer to lose weight. If you waste many calories, then you will lose weight much faster.

As I stated before a zero-calorie diet will guarantee weight loss. A 20,000 calorie diet will likely add weight. So pick a caloric intake number in between that is right for your variables stated above. Simple enough.

Someone's metabolism can affect the rate of weight loss, but by following that equation, weight loss is guaranteed. (Unless Rudolph Clausius is wrong, and we have been teaching college students the wrong thing for over 160 years).
Yep. 100% true.

For me a lot, not all.....but a LOT is psychological. I can go on a very low carb/limited protein/high fat diet and within days the acute cravings for all of those yummy carbs goes WAY down. I feel this change is mostly physical.

BUT WAIT, you said psychological...............yes, that little bit of craving that remains, not real loud or stong, is what usually sinks me. Thoughts of the foods I have a emotional connection to remain, even when the physical cravings die off.

I googled razwell. I found:
One guy with his own youtube account, who dispells tropical climate myths AND cholesteral myths, AND discusses taint waxing AND guitar...(a freaking genius, to know so much science about so many diverse things)...

and this:
Meet the narcissistic, self-centered, sociopathic, dummy-spitting nut-jobs hellbent on making the Internet as inhospitable as possible.

and this:
Post: #1. Razwell's New Obesity Blog. Hi Jimmy and everyone. I just wanted to say I have a new obesity blog

and another few of this one guy who's a Nubian metaphysicist and does some pretty neat things with a chessboard...

and this:
A sassy and independent woman, and the star of her very own stripper mini-game. True story!

The first one is just some middle-aged pseudo junk-science nonsense from a random youtube faux-geek whose mom hasn't been able to dispel him from the basement yet.

The Nubian chess guy seems pretty interesting though.

A great diet for those with weak willpower is the Warrior diet. If you're not in great shape or aren't serious about weight-loss then it's not for you. Essentially it follows an 'under-eating' cycle (anywhere from 12-24 hours) followed by an 'over-eating' cycle. Once you've worked your way up to the full 24 hour cycle, you essentially eat one large meal until you're totally satiated. I've found this lifestyle to be extremely freeing from the tedious process of cooking and eating 3 meals a day (or 5-6 small meals a day as I used to do). It also allows me to eat whatever I want without fear of gaining weight or guilt from breaking a 'dieting rule'.

One of my main problems is that I KNOW what to do but don't apply it, or I start out great and then start sabotaging myself. I find that I need to find ways to get myself into a positive attitude on a daily basis, plan ahead and then stick to the plan and not let myself be tempted to veer off of it for too far. If I get off plan, instead of then giving up and going back to my old ways, I need to forgive myself and get back on track right away. Years of terrible habits and eating too-large portions is not an easy thing to turn around all at once. It's definitely a process, which we need to take one day at a time.
