I would say that over 90% of Soy in the US is GMO which means it's probably sprayed with a lot of pesticides so yes, it's plant based but healthy? Probably not. Most bottled salad dressing is complete crap IMO and it's number one ingredient is usually soybean oil.
That being said, organic tofu is not that much more.
Tofu is however is very bland and has no taste. It easily soaks up other flavors. When I do eat it, I buy organic and I really like "Mapo Tofu", a Szechuan dish which is spicy and comes from Northern China.
