I've saved thousands of calories using marijuana instead of alcohol. I don't need drugs to unwind, but they don't really do any harm, and at Denver prices, where you can snag an ounce for $80, why not? It's also better on the stomach as alcohol promotes acid reflux and inflammation, along with fat in the liver, though admittedly I can get much more smashed and unable to function drinking than I can using marijuana.. I do enjoy alcohol more for the pure loss of control you get but I have fitness goals that alcohol is not compatible with. Useless, empty calories that go right to the liver.

Nothing wrong with a little "herbal help". It's better than alcohol (also a drug) and pharmaceuticals.

God put these things on earth for something, might as well use them.

My point was why do you “need” either one? Plenty of drug free ways to wind down.

Who said "need"? If someone enjoys something and it harms nobody, who are you to question it?

Everything I've read about MJ is the munchies.

Why do so many keeping looking for ways to lose weight, when it's all what they put in their mouths...fill their plates and don't push away from the table. It's stunning how so many are so weak in their efforts.

Er, unless you're 6'3" to begin with (speaking from experience).

I lost 80 pounds while smoking marijuana daily. This isn’t to say that marijuana made me lose weight, but it’s certainly a contradiction to the thought some have that marijuana just causes people to lose all will to do anything while eating everything.

And I gained 30 pounds over the last year drinking while waiting for (another) herniated disc in my neck to subside.

If anyone has gotten a medical marijuana card in Florida, please share your experience - thanks!

Me too.
My late-night triple-decker sandwiches containing the contents of the refrigerator became the stuff of legends in my bong days.
Peanut butter, bacon, avocado, hummus and marinated artichoke hearts was a particular favourite.
