I've never tested to see if I'm in ketosis.
But I check my blood sugars. If they're where I want them before taking insulin, then I know I didn't eat too many carbs.

One of the guest speakers on this podcast I follow ( Low Carb MD Podcast ) -- though it really doesn't support AR-- likened carbs to a drug. For a balanced outlook, I think it's instructive to listen to perspectives that don't support one's own. And that's interesting; giving up carbs and, for many, cheese, is unthinkable.
I can scale down or at least be more aware of my carb consumption, but the only way I can increase fats is avocados, nuts, coconut oil, olive oil. The coconut oil is yummy, thank you. Bulletproof coffee and stir fry.
Vegan OMAD is what I'm doing. And I started B12 x2 a.m. and p.m., which has made a difference.
So I am in Walgreens...when a 75 yr old lady is filling her
basket with sublingual B 12s. ..2 for one...
I say, "What do you know that I don't?!!!" Her 90+ mother couldn't remember where she put anything...she started taking 4000 mcg of B12--- and very shortly she remembers everything!
"In one 8-week study in 100 older adults, supplementing with 100–500 mcg of vitamin B12 were
found to normalize B12 levels in 75–85% of participants.
Higher doses of up to 1,000 mcg (1 mg) may even be necessary for some." Found online.

Yeah, I started talking more B12 on the advice of several folks on this forum. I may be a little less ditzy. Hard to tell.
