My friends have told me they have gained weight from stay-at-home, due to eating from boredom, but I have experienced the opposite: lost 4 pounds after the first two weeks! I attribute this to 1) eating healthy meals at home with NO quick fast food/pizza/lunch out with friends during what had been my regular “out” days (I’m retired), and 2) the highlight of my day: a 45-minute walk every afternoon to get a break from the house.

Others experienced similar?

I agree with your friends about eating out of boredom. I have children and Spouse loves to buy chips and ice cream and pie (ironically he's been losing weight due to eating less overall), so there are snacks in the house, and it's hard to avoid eating.

I would think most of the food-orders are junk, people are getting less healthy due to
the SAHO.

I worried about it, as I never sit down at work and am very active with walking besides. At home now for 3 weeks, except for an hour walk each day, I've been very sedentary and I do feel like I am eating a lot more, not so much boredom as stress. I was shocked to put on a pair of jeans this morning and find them baggier than ever.

I have no junk food in my house, I just eat the same things I always eat. Homemade soup, home made apple sauce, eggs, cheese, triscuit crackers, apples, frozen fruit, dried fruit, canned fruit, cheerios and milk....but I thought I was eating more of all of it. I was really surprised.

Yes not only can I eat better at home but I can go for a walk every day.

When this is all over I am going to demand my boss allow me to work from home more. I see how my life ruined going into work when -- really -- it isn't necessary.

I think it's probably the other way around.

I'm down about 5-7 pounds since March 13. We are walking one or two times a day and aren't eating out at restaurants. We are doing more cooking using fresh ingredients (chopping, dicing, grating).

In order not to gain weight at home, you need to do training at home. Squat, press, run on a treadmill, jump rope.

And most importantly, make a food plan, you can eat several times a day, but the food must be properly selected diet.

You can eat delicious and at the same time correctly. I stick to my diet and started losing up to 10 pounds a week.

And at the same time, I do not deny myself sweet, the secret is simple, proper nutrition + training at home.
Really...10 lbs/week? Not healthy, not sustainable, probably not real.

Due to this lockdown is very hard to keep my body fit, but I am trying as hard as I can eating only natural ingredients. Is anyone in the same situation?

Yes. I’m eating well, drinking water and working out. I’ve lost around 5 lbs so far and would like to lose 10 more. Embracing the opportunity to take care of myself.
