I am not interested in any "fad" diet cookbooks. I want to lose weight gradually by eating normal foods prepared with healthy, lower calorie ingredients. I'm in my mid 70's, been overweight my entire life (even when playing varsity hockey in college), and I realize this my be my last chance to trim down. So 2021 is my year to go all out.

What are some recommendations for cookbooks?

P.S. I also have taken many cooking classes so I know my way around a kitchen.

The Mediterranean Way of Eating is scientifically/nutritionally proven to help with weight control AND our overall health.

Definitely not a fad "diet."

Here's a list of some of the top Med cookbooks:

PS I eat this way and love it. Feel great, weight is normal. And it's not expensive for the ingredients...
