How to spend the least amount of time in the kitchen as possible, and don't use the oven unless you have to. Share your suggestions.

Here are mine:
use rice cookers, microwaves, and crockpots
take it outside to the grill
make smoothies from fruits and veggies
make fruit and veggie salads
cook once a week and freeze, then just microwave

On a really hot day, I usually make tuna salad (I keep tuna in the fridge), slice some tomatoes and cucumbers, and have plenty of iced tea and lemonade.

Make everything on the grill. Our favorite is steaks, or salmon in foil, with potatoes and onions in foil. Salad on the side.

I was just wondering this, lol It's sweltering here; I am only slightly hungry, but it's too damn hot to cook anything

Maybe a light salad.....lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, cheese, broccoli....I hope I have the ingredients, lol

I grilled out tonight and served an cold Asian cole slaw. My instant read thermometer read 97 degrees as I was standing in full sun. Thank goodness the grill has a tree canopy for shade!

I went ahead and grilled chicken for tomorrow's dinner which will be Cantonese Tomato Beef | Appetite for China but with chicken. I will serve it with leftover rice from last night's dinner.

I also make lots of salads. I avoid turning on the oven as much as possible. I am not a big fan of sandwiches for dinner but I will pick-up Bánh mì - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia if I am in that part of town.

I never understand grilling when it is hot. Wouldnt you rather be in the cool kitchen than the hot outdoors, this always puzzles me to no end.
