You may loose some but as soon as your body goes into starvation mode, which it will, you will cease to loose and the second you eat anything it goes strait into "storage" instead of being used as fuel to burn.

IE...I am 5'5" 120ibs and 15% body fat......I eat between 1200 and 1400 calories per day ALWAYS being sure to never go below that 1200
I agree, unless the person is quite light, 1200 is very low. I'm 6' tall and 167 pounds and I need 2800 daily for my "maintenance" weight (daily workouts consume around 400 calories), healthy weight loss for me is 2300 calories or so daily. Eating 1200 a day if you are a decent-sized person is pretty unhealthy, and not the best way to lose weight, and you would likely be chronically tired, hungry, and easily fatigued running on that few calories. There are healthier ways to lose weight.

You are dealing with metabolism and need to eat more to burn. The bun on a roll is probably one of the worst things to eat and burn calories at the same time. Eat more protein and check out this information about what YOUR TYPE of body needs. Every one has a different blueprint with their own metabolism and how fast they burn.

hope that helps...
