I'm trying to lose a lot of weight. Ideally, I'd like to lose 60 more lbs b4 we try conceiving and after we have our kid or two, I'd like to lose about 60-70 more lbs. *fingers crossed* I've lose 20 since April so I'm hanging in there! I don't watch so much what I eat but I work out vigorously. I hvae noticed, however, now that I work out routinely, I naturally eat less and stay away from fatty foods. Congrats on your weight loss! We all know how much of a struggle it is!
Roma - congrats on your weight loss. It's truly a difficult battle. I've lost a lot of weight in a short period of time about 14 years ago and slowly but surely almost all of it has come back. I can't dwell on that. I need to take it off again. I did it before and I can do it again. Did you eat special things or just avoid certain foods? I have found that weight training has helped me curb my appetite naturally. Now, I just got to stick with it. How much did you exercise? Did you take any supplements?
For the first 2 months of my diet, I was real strict. I was very serious about losing my weight that I gained in the last 4-5 years.
I counted calories. I went on a limited calorie intake diet. I would only eat on average 1,200 calories a day. I wrote "everything" I ate done. I cut out all the junk food and ate as natural as I could. Lots of fruits and veggies, whole grains, low sugar and sodium and nothing fried. I drank tons of water, cut out all sodas even diet sodas.
I exercised for the first two months but I got lazy and stopped. I just started up again recently exercising. I'm now maintaining my weight. I eat as healthy as I can.
I didn't take any diet supplements but I do take a lot of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and stuff like that. Supplements that are good for my body.

Oh, man! There's just something so wrong about people who have to gain weight!
I've lost about 17 lbs. since the first of the year. Would like to lose about 10 more, but I'll settle for 5. Did it just by eating better and bumping up the old exercise routine. I'm finally listening to the "experts'' who say that it's calories in, calories out. I've done slim fast, low carbs, all of it. And always end up gaining it back. Not this time, I swear.
I'd like to lose atleast 60 pounds. I needed to lose before but since the baby it seems to be compounding on my hips. I know it sounds like an excuse, but how can I get into it when my husband thinks that lettuce tastes like paper and doesn't eat veggies. If it weren't for him I'm convinced I could be totally successful by just keeping sweets and other high carbs out of the house.
Before I met him I never brought that stuff home. If I wanted a doughnut, I would buy ONE doughnut. He buys whole pies, eats one piece and then leaves them in the fridge staring at me for over a week. I have to TELL him to eat the thing or it's in the garbage. But yet, he can't stay away from them so I can be on a diet??? Help!!
