There may be emergency vet care grants available. What breed is your dog, and where are you located?

::sighs:; this is not good .. I totally understand your tapped out after yesterday .. go get her cage/kennel and slide her in there and just keep her hydrated for tonight ...... :: mutters about vets who are in this for the money:: AND yes sell the baby and take your pup to the vet if thats what ya have to do .. I am sorry .. I understand that vets have bills to pay to but you would think that they could find away to work out the bill when your so scared and worried .. ..

Gee, could she be having a reaction to the scent or chemicals of the new carpets? Can you also confine her to a room away from the new carpeting?

Look, I'm sure your dog will be ok.

You've mentioned several times that he/she is still eating - peanut butter - grass etc.
That's an excellent sign, every animal I had who was dying refused point blank to eat.

Let your dog rest, stop fussing around.
I know when I am sick the very last thing I want is someone bothering me.

Give the medicine already prescribed and wait for signs of recovery.

Call, plead or beg and get to the closest animal hospital. Usually they will work out a payment plan....what kind of a dog do you have? Once you are at an emergency vet clinic if they have any compassion at all they will not turn you away. Pets can be very expensive....see if you can think of any expenses you could cut down on in the next couple of weeks, or bills you can stretch out so that your pet can get the care it needs.

Good luck...my prayers are with your dog and you.

Years ago Dash developed a horrible bladder infection. He had been fine the day before but I woke up to a dog that would not move or eat ( and he was a major chow hound). He was not vomiting but the fact he was so lethargic and refusing all food worried me big time so I called my vet and said I needed to have Dash seen ASAP. Turns out it was a bladder infection and stones. It took a few days of antibiotics before he started showing an interest in food or moving around much. I had to forced him to eat some chicken baby food to go along with the pills as they were to be given with food but even then it was not much food. The fact your dog is vomiting is so much is worrisome as it is loosing electrolytes that way and that can be very dangerous. Hope your dog is a bit better by the time you see this in the AM.

Did the VET rule out a blockage? I would be concerned about that as all the vomiting seems extreme for a bladder infection. I would make payments if I had too....Quit waiting and get the dog to another VET...Some VETS are better than others!
