I am moving from a house to a 2nd floor apartment in a week. I need to teach my dog to stop barking before that time. I bought a indoor anti barking unit. It is not helping. Please tell me what works the best, the fastest. I have a poodle!
Try the bark collar that sends a little jolt. My son bought one and tried it first on himself to ensure it was not painful. It wasn't. Just a little shocking. And it had 3 different levels I think. Anyway, it did help, but he had to go up a level or two before it did. He takes it off at night in case of intruders.
Sounds like your dog could be anxious when you leave or he is not getting enough exercise, perhaps both.

Thank you, what is the name of the collar? I went to Petsmart and they have so many to choose. I think he gets enough exercise because we have a fenced in backyard and he roams freely all evening.
the same ol' backyard gets boring day after day after day after day..... dogs need mental and physical stimulation...... EVERY day...... does he have things to do that will occupy his mind and burn up his energy??
my dogs have access to the backyard all day while i am at work ..... BUT we go out for a 2.5 - 3 mile walk every single morning before i go to work.......at a park about 10 miles from our house..... hot or cold, rain or shine.... unless it is monsoon or otherwise not safe to be in the woods.....
they also get about half of their daily kibble from puzzle toys that they have to work to get the kibble out of..... keeps them busy and occupied ......
