Anyone know of a wolf rescue or sanctuary (other than Shy Wolf Sanctuary in FL) that's really good? I got a call last night for a 100+ pound wolf puppy that's been dumped in a shelter up here. They're not putting it up for adoption, so unless I can find a safe place for it, it will be put down.
They said he's 'pushy' which I'm taking to mean he's acting dominant, no surprise. He's not been neutered, again no surprise around here. I'm sure I can find enough people to get together to sponsor his vetting before I send him off. Just need to find a place to send him to.
On a side note, I've not seen him yet. I told her before I contact a rescue / sanctuary directly I want to see him and get pictures. I've had a few people locally tell me they're breeding wolf hybrids (gggrrrrrrr) and want to get out of the business and need to place their dogs, but when I go see them they're obviously huskies.
Around here morons are more willing to pay more for a husky when you call it a wolf I guess. Idiots!
So, if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I'll contact SWS and see if they have an opening but it's a 14 hour drive for me and I'm hoping to find something a bit closer.
