Tom, Billy is beautiful . There are several " staffies" that come to the dog park that look just like him. I don't know if they are pure bred or that is just what people are claiming they are. Within any breed there can be differences as some pups will fall out of the " standards of the breed" so may have a longer nose or be a bit taller but that is OK as long as you are not showing the dog. My Dazzle is at the top of the height for his breed standard so he is a big boy if people saw him with the dogs that are on the small side of it they would question if the dogs were the same breed.

Were trying to get bull breeds a good name, people who havnt had anything to do with bull breeds dont want anything to do with them and the media they get is the main reason behind that. I show people when Im with Billy what can be done if you spend time with them. A dog just wants to please its owners. If it's owner is aggresive towards the dog the dog will be aggresive towards other people. They watch us all the time and learn. I know one thing though, I wouldnt change Billy for the world.
Ah - I didn't realize you were in the UK. Yes its very bad here for Bully Breeds. Right now there is a group that is trying to ram through legislation in Texas that would ban APBT's, Staffies and Rotties from THE WHOLE STATE!

I was wondering that myself when I read that he 'bought' his dog. I groaned, LOL. Then looking at the pic I noticed the bus in the background had a different country code for the phone number. Officer observations skills still in check! LOL

I think he looks very staffy, or at least like what they look like here. My Diva girl is a staffie and I see a strong resemblance between the two.

They're great with other dogs and kids and even cats if you socialize and train them properly while they're young. They are in my top three favorite breeds!

Your dog is very nice, Billy is much slimmer than your dog and has a longer nose. He also has bald bit behind his back legs and ears

He is such a great dog and is so friendly. He never barks and has never even groweld at another dog. Our Billy gives the Bull Breeds a good name.
Aww he is gorgeous.

Depending on where you live in the UK he probably is a cross SBT/Irish SBT.

In England the Irish Staff, AM Staff and Pit Bull, tend to be all classed as a Pit Bull, and as such is a banned breed. Unfortunately there are people in England that do breed these dogs illegally. If a dog is crossed with these breeds or has facial characterists of a Pit Bull then they are classified as a Pit Bull Type.

My advice to you would be to class him as a Staffie, (there are many BYB who claim to have a litter of pedigree Staffies without papers that are mixed or not a good example of the breed standard).

I own a STB and I have ensured my lad is well trained and socialised. He is almost 6 years old, I don't have a problem with other dogs. He lives with three cats and a rabbit.

We have gone on doggy walks with up to 25 dogs all off leash without incident.

Enjoy your little lad and continue promoting the bull breeds.

Looks cute. Somewhat like a Staff but he looks like an APBT which could be a problem. His sire looks Irish staff and his dam imo looks like she is mixed with bull terrier because of her head shape, stop and ears. Your dog could likely be a mix of APBT/SBT/BT, its really hard to say.

daddy was probably an am-staff or apbt (or not a very good example of an "irish" staffy.
Not true at all. You don't sound very familiar with the Irish Staffy. Considering they are typically leggy, balanced with a good length of muzzle. He very much fits the ISBT type.

English Staffs also have a variance in type, blocky, convulsive ones exist including in the show ring just like the USA. Though not all have that physical type. I live in the USA but do have friends across the pond.

Ok I thought it was time for me to upload a few photo's of Billy now he is 19 months old. I would be very greatfull if you could let me know what you think he is crossed with. It should be easyer to tell now he is nearly 2. I know there heads can gain muscle till they are 3 but he wont get any taller than he is now.

Hope you enjoy the photo's!
