Do most dog owners sleep with their dog? Is it healthy? I hear it's not a good idea but I do all the time.

Sorry if this has been posted before.

No. We finally made our bedroom a no dog zone. They sleep in beds right outside.

I know people who sleep with their dogs...hard to do with two people already in the bed, and I only like big dogs.

I sleep with one 80 pound dog and three cats. When my husband & I were still together we had two queen sized beds shoved together to make one giant bed so there was room for everyone.

DH and I do. I love my dogs, but I know it is bad for allergies & they interrupt your sleep. Mine don't sleep with their heads near the headboard and their feet near the footboard, they always end up across the bed.

Yes. One has the middle pillow because she doesn't know she's a dog. The other sleeps at the bottom of the bed unless it's too warm then she's on the "dog" futon.

When I was single I slept with my dog every night. She was good training for my future husband. She hogged the bed, snored, and left hair all over! She has sense passed and the two dogs we have now are welcome on the bed, but choose not to sleep with us. They prefer their "Cool Bed" instead.

Most of mine sleep in their own dog beds or crates. My oldest Lab sleeps at the end of our bed.

My dog slept in the children's beds in her former home.
I chose not to fight this battle, as she had so many bad habits.
So, she sleeps in my bed.
Her first night here was a nightmare, as she kept me up all night barking at my cat.
Now she and the cat both sleep with me.
I'm pathetic, but to me this is "progress."
