Where does your dog sleep at night? Normally, our's sleeps where he wants to outside our closed bedroom door. Have never been one to allow the dog to sleep in the same room with us--snoring, gas, licking). But last night we allowed him into our bed (never thought I'd allow that!!) but he looked so sweet and happy lying there between us and hardly moved all night long.

I have a gate up on the guest room door. It has been pretty much converted to dog land, heh. Jsut adopted him so wanted somewhere he could go where he couldn't destroy anything too important. Also own a cat so nights I want his movement restricted.

We've tried him sleeping in the same room with us. But 4am seems to be his witching hr. when he wants to rise.
So....he has the run of the house...we figure, between him and the cats...any burglar will break his neck tripping over them if they try and break in.
The times I have come downstairs in the middle of the night...he is sound asleep in his kennel (no door), snoring up a storm and usually has one or two cats curled up around him in the kennel.

My dog sleeps in his crate at night, mostly for his own safety. He has an anxiety disorder, which results in uncontrollable licking fits and there is no way to know when they will happen, and he will eat anything in his licking path, so this keeps him safe during the night.

Plus I have 6 cats, and this allows them to have free roam and sleep in the bed with me, even though they get along great with the pup, it's nice for them to have some one on one time with me.

Artie used to sleep in our bedroom -- in his doggie bed -- but no matter what time I moved, even if was just an inch to reposition myself, even if was 3.00am, he thought that meant that I was getting up and it was time to go out. Uhhh, no.

He is not allowed on our bed (thank God; I would NEVER be able to move a fraction of an inch) and although he is allowed on the guestroom bed, that's downstairs and not near enough to his peeps, I guess.

Soooo, he has his own bedroom -- the room next to ours -- that's painted in a Pottery Barn sage green, in which there resides his crate (door open) should he decide to sleep in there, a futon (where he usually sleeps; why wouldn't he?), an armoire, art on the walls, a bookcase, his toy basket, etc...

He's been asking -- in his own way -- for a TV, I just know it!

Spoiled guy, huh?

Tonka likes to sleep in our bed, under the covers, with his butt in my face. Nice, huh?

Porkchop sleeps wherever he wants, but usually in his bed next to me, though I found him on the couch the last couple of nights. He will go to sleep around 9 every night and will stay in his bed until I get up. Even if I get up to use the bathroom, he will continue sleeping until I call him. He's been a great sleeper since the day we got him.

Both our labs sleep at the side of the bed. The female also likes the couch.

One on the bed and the other close to a chair in our bedroom. We have a huge bedroom which is almost the size of many living rooms....but lately our bed sleeper went to sleep in our 2nd bathroom on the tile floor, I guess it is less warm over there and one of our kids came home from College so now he can watch both our kids bedrooms while sleeping...he is kind of a small security dog
