I'm so so proud of my little man!!!!! I've had him on a pretty good trainng schedule since I got him almost a year ago. We work pretty well together. He's an APBT, just turned a year old in December. He has a tendancy to to be VERY DISTRACTED by anything that moves, and sometimes even things that don't! So we've been working on his focus and staying calm when faced with distractions. It's been a few weeks now, and I'm starting to see HUGE improvements...mostly this week...and yesterday was a huge mark for us!

We made it past the two most troublesome/distracting houses on our walk without a single hitch!!! One house, 3 small barking dogs with an invisible fence, the other, a very mean sounding pittie that is always tied out front (she's really not mean, just sounds that way). Normally it's a struggle to get him past these homes because he's so "into" what's going on with the other dogs.

Not yesterday. At all! I was so proud of him I had a hard time staying calm (in order to keep him that way)! I couldn't WAIT to get home so I could let him really know how good he was! All of our hard work and dedication is paying off...and I am ecstatic!!!!!!!!!

Not to mention that at one point on our walk, his leash was so loose that I was able to loop it through my belt loop...YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry...he's my "child" and I just had to share his progress and what a proud "mommy" I am!!

It is! No matter which streets I try to take! The other road that we walk on has no dogs...but is riddled with squirrels!! It has made for some rough walks in the past, that's for sure...but I see a great future for us!!

No, you're not partial... you're RIGHT! He IS a handsome boy!

And, from your original post, a smart one, too! Congratulations.
