All my older dogs have these wart like things on their backs and around their necks. Vet says it is just an aging thing and not painful or dangerous. Never had one on the eye.

My 10 year old dog has one on her eyelid too. The vet at the eye doctor said that it's not causing her discomfort so we'll just leave it alone unless it grows. My dog is blind so it's not impacting her vision.

My Rip has the same kind of larger wart like growth under his upper lid, protruding on to his eye. It doesn't appear to affect him but before I called the vet I thought I'd check if others have had experience. You mentioned a skin issue. Rip has had skin allergies for years (he's only 6) and finally we did allergy testing...allergic to many foods but mostly all the grasses growing around him. Has had shot series now and was wondering if it could have something to do with the allergies. Any thoughts anyone...Thankyou

Dash use to get some growths on the rim of his eye lid usually we just watched it and if it started bothering him or looked like it was rubbing on the eye my vet would take them off. I can not remember what the vet called them but he did not call them a wart and it was not a sty never even looked like a sty but it was harmless unless it rubbed the eye as that could cause issues. He had about 3 or 4 of them during his life time.

My male has lumps & has had a little-bitty wart thing on his right lower lid forever. My vet says the same thing as Kudzu's. Nothing to worry about unless they start growing. It's just old-age. The little warts are like skin-tags on humans.
