I am at my wit's end trying to figure out which one of my 6 dogs is all of a sudden pee'ing in the house. Nothing has really changed in the last 6 months that was when I had to have the alpha female PTS. They have all been housetrained for years with only occasional accident

I think it is one of my females. I know the weim (5 yo) will mark but I haven't caught her doing it in the house. The beagle mix (6 yo) has never had a problem but she is on steroids and antibiotic for her lick granuloma for less than a week. The incidents seem to have increased though in that time. Yesterday I cleaned up 4 puddles. I was home so it wasn't like they didn't go outside several times during the day.

I am going to get the crates out but I need to figure out what the heck happened here.

The dog on steroids would be the prime suspect. Not all dogs have such a bad reaction to steroids, but I had one that did. He peed constantly, and copiously each time. He'd wake me up every two hours all night asking to go out, even though I picked up their water an hour or so before bedtime. That was pretty rough when I had to go to work in the morning so I finally gave up and started putting papers down in the basement at night (he'd been paper-trained as a puppy). I told him every night before bed, if you need to pee, use the papers, Mommy needs to sleep. And he did. He was a very good, smart boy.

I would suspect your beagle too. Hope he's feeling better, and good luck finding the culprit.

And I was bragging to my grandson how 'my' dogs rarely had accidents in the house... Go figure.

So far today no accidents but today she only got 1/2 a pill in the AM instead of a whole pill.
Hopefully that will help.

Thanks.. I guess I just needed someone else to tell me it could be the pills.

Steroids will make your dog into a pee monster. My JRT is on the stuff and I'm taking him out about every hour.

I hate to post this for fear it will change but so far after reducing the amt she takes per the instructions, no more accidents.
Doctor said to giver her 1/2 pill twice daily for 4 days and then 1/2 pill once a day. Hopefully this will help with the lick granuloma or whatever is causing it. Poor girl.. she has so many problems for a young dog.

ugh! that's so frustrating! we have a cat and a dog and the other morning it looked like the dog (Duke) wet the bed!! but he NEVER goes in the house! so then we thought maybe the kitty (taco) peed on his bed?? but that is also unlike her! it remains a mystery but it sure was stinky!
Good Luck!
