Great site here. In the south there are many "kill shelters" only bcs towns and municipalities do not have funding...sadly the poor dogs and other pets pay the price...

It breaks my heart knowing that beautiful loving dogs are destroyed bcs people cant afford to feed them- pls check these sites and type in search if you are looking for a certain breed

dream, it is a great site & the rescuers all see to be well-organized. There're several needy dogs all over, aren't there? I checked in the interactive map and hit CALI, Redding. and found a SharPei that has very similar charachteristics to my dog; I was told he's Hushkey and sharpie, with a little GSD and a spot of a cattle dog (he's got spots on his white chest. Mostly he look like a mix of SharPei and Huskey. Very handsome little devil, he is. Shar Pei's are so regal and imperious. They're so very interesting...

They are comic relief at times...sharpei mix are great too..they have the brain of a 3 year old, my vet said, sometimes more...theyre very smart..

this girl is 5- a pei-rottweiler mix...got her 2 days before the kill shelter was ready to exterminate...she was afraid of her own shadow 4 yrs ago- now she rules the yard
