Ape and Rip are hunting in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

This AM they were in a group of dogs that treed a 300+ bear.

I told hubby to get pictures.....but, we will see.....

This is the bear in the tree.

Rip is just learning so the guys let him sit this and bray a little while.

BTW, that is Ape in the backgoung looking like, "been there...done that"......

sounds like youve got a great handle on everything! keep us updated on their progress together, sounds like ape is just whats needed to put rip back in his place lol.

I would have NEVER thought about getting a hound.

I have always had indoor big dogs.

But, hubby hunts and has always been supportive in anything I wanted.

So....what eles could I do???

From my years showing quarter horses I knew blood would tell.

My hubby's friends would have gave him a dog.

However, I began to research the top breeders, bloodlines and produce from those lines.

That is why Rip is from WI.

Then I got competitive with him.

I guess that was in my blood.....
